about us

our processhow we work

We love the web and our work to help you shine online! We invest in the whole journey – from initial concept to final site, collaboration all the way.

You meet our team, we meet yours, and we work together to agree the project scope. We write the proposal to finalise the brief. This will include our initial estimate for timing and budget, outline all agreed plans as well as potential solutions. After we agree on the project plan, we get to work.

Whether you’re an old hand at all things web, or feel this is all information overload – we’re ready to explain basics as well as discuss complexities. Together, we’ll find a suitable workflow to suit us all.

how

smooth progressvia feedback & discussion

Our  design process—referred to as agile—is simple and flexible. The aim is to communicate often, to discuss, and for input from all sides to inform the process for each aspect of the project. We know that frequent feedback and ongoing iterations will ensure steady progress and result in a successful end product.

We will present you with prototypes rather than static visuals. From your web style guide to the page layouts, you will be able to preview your site as it grows. Through this live preview of the site, with many hands on deck – we will be able to spot issues and address any concerns as they arise and address them immediately.

our team who we are

Keely Khoury

Keely is our copywriter, editor and proofreader.

She makes sure that our communication within the project teams works and is ready and happy to take on any content-related challenges. She helps to put all our ideas and thoughts into words.

Erika Balode

Erika is our front end developer and backend support.

We think of Erika as having started her web career at the age of 12 when she was first introduced to Basic – this is when the seeds were sown. She loves frontend development and always finds the right solutions.

Prisca Schmarsow

Prisca is our design and project lead.

After over fourteen years of working solo, Prisca is the one who brought us together. She’s our lead for design, development and overall project management and will be your contact throughout the project. She also teaches web design at the University of Greenwich, including delivering the Applied Art for the Web course on the MA programme Web Design & Content Planning.
